Fiber Installation Support Technician

About the Role

Cobranet Limited is seeking qualified candidates to support fiber optic installation operations in Lagos, Nigeria. This is a full-time position requiring immediate availability and a commitment to excellence in field operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist fiber installation teams with day-to-day deployment tasks
• Run and pull fiber optic cables through ducts, trenches, and buildings
• Lay and secure HDPE ducts and conduits
• Remove interlocks and other physical obstructions on-site
• Support thrust boring operations and other trenchless installation techniques
• Perform physical groundwork as required during fiber deployments
• Ensure tools and materials are properly used, stored, and maintained
• Follow all company and industry safety protocols during fieldwork
• Coordinate effectively with the field supervisor and back office on deployment progress and issues
• Be on-call and readily available to respond to urgent assignments, including weekends and holidays

Required Skills and Experience

• Prior experience in fiber installation or civil works
• Familiarity with tools and techniques used in cable pulling and duct installation
• Good physical fitness and ability to work in challenging environments
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and readiness to work flexible hours
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
• Safety-conscious with knowledge of basic HSE practices

Additional Requirements

• Must be a Nigerian citizen
• Physically fit and able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying environmental conditions
• Must be reachable by phone and available to report to the field on short notice
• Full-time position with immediate availability preferred
