About the Role

An established company is recruiting for a Farm Manager to oversee agricultural operations and drive farm productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial farm operations (crop, livestock, or mixed farming)
• Monitor and improve farm productivity and recommend appropriate agricultural interventions
• Supervise farm workers and contractors
• Implement modern agricultural practices, machinery operations, and irrigation systems
• Manage crop and livestock rotation systems and pest control measures
• Handle farm budgeting, record keeping, and cost control

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Animal Science, Crop Science, Farm Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience managing a commercial farm (crop, livestock, or mixed farming)
• Proven knowledge of modern agricultural practices, machinery, irrigation systems, pest control, and crop/livestock rotation systems
• Strong understanding of farm budgeting, record keeping, and cost control
• Experience in personnel management, including supervision of farm workers and contractors
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Must be willing to reside in or near Shagamu or work on-site daily

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with agronomic tools, GPS systems, and basic farm technology
• Knowledge of agricultural regulations and environmental compliance
• Experience with farm-to-market strategies or agro-processing
• Strong leadership qualities and decision-making ability under pressure
