## Title: Facilities Engineer / Specialist III

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our facilities engineering team. In this role, you will evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work performed both internally and by contractors and sub-contractors to ensure execution in accordance with company specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements. You will facilitate effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines that align with the team's goals, objectives, and procedures, while assuring accurate and timely communication among the team and other company functions.

Main Functions

  • Evaluate discipline engineering work performed internally and by contractors and sub-contractors for compliance with company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Facilitate effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines aligned with team goals, objectives, and procedures
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication among team members and other company functions regarding discipline engineering activities, progress, and issues
  • Demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills in addition to technical ability

Tasks and Responsibilities

In addition to Level 1 and 2 responsibilities, Level 3 responsibilities include:

  • Participate in area risk assessments, HAZOPs, hazard hunts, and critical operating parameter reviews
  • Lead incident investigations related to downtime and process safety
  • Support opportunity management through identification of opportunities and development of scope of work for projects
  • Conduct risk assessments on new facility projects, existing facilities, and closure of mitigating action items
  • Lead performance testing and plant-based trials
  • Develop operating guidelines for facilities
  • Coach and mentor fellow and junior colleagues

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering specialty, or equivalent professional experience
  • Extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
  • Fluent English (read, write, and speak), especially as it applies to technical and business communications
