Experienced Electrical Engineer

About the Role

A reputable construction company is seeking an Experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical project execution, system design, installation, and maintenance across construction projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all electrical works comply with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design power distribution systems, electrical layouts, single line diagrams, and wiring schedules
• Plan, direct, and coordinate electrical installation, maintenance, testing, and documentation activities in line with project specifications, codes, and client requirements
• Install electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, disconnects, and motor control centres
• Monitor and expedite delivery of electrical materials and equipment to meet project timelines
• Inspect completed electrical installations and observe system operations to ensure compliance, safety, and operational standards
• Read, interpret, and review technical drawings, schematics, and design specifications
• Record, analyse, and interpret test data
• Identify issues, propose system modifications, and supervise re-testing where necessary
• Collaborate effectively with design engineers, contractors, clients, and other project stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering from a recognised university
• Minimum of 5 years post-NYSC experience in electrical project execution and coordination within a construction or engineering environment
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is mandatory
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and technical standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and COREN registration
• Professional membership with any internationally recognised Engineering body
