About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and creative Exhibition Manager to lead the planning, production and delivery of our exhibitions. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Lagos.
The successful candidate will coordinate all phases from concept and design through fabrication, installation, opening and dismantling. You will manage budgets, liaise with vendors and exhibitors, ensure health and safety and visitor experience standards, and collaborate with marketing and content teams to deliver engaging, successful events.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, develop and produce exhibitions from concept through to completion, including idea development, layout design, procurement, installation and de-installation
- Coordinate with exhibitors, vendors, contractors, sponsors and other stakeholders
- Design or approve floor plans, exhibit layouts, visitor flow and display designs
- Manage exhibition logistics including transportation of exhibits, accommodation and security
- Manage budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness by estimating, monitoring and controlling costs to meet financial targets
- Collaborate with marketing and promotion teams to generate visitor interest
- Work with interpretation and education teams on content development
- Conduct post-event evaluations, gather feedback and report on success metrics and learnings for future exhibitions
- Develop processes and procedural guidelines for exhibitions, including sourcing, handling, storage and documentation
Day-to-Day Tasks
- Coordinate with vendors and manage exhibition logistics
- Oversee the setup and dismantling of exhibits
- Liaise with clients to understand requirements and ensure expectations are met
- Ensure all events run smoothly and efficiently
