## Title: Engineering - Instrumentation and Controls Lead III

Main Functions
- Define scope of all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, assign workloads, and review and implement standards and procedures
- Manage man hour estimating, cost estimating, budgeting, and progress reporting for instrumentation scope across all project phases
- Support development and execution of centralized engineering services for existing upstream production operating units and new upstream capital projects
- Maintain safety, availability, and reliability of instrument and control systems while optimizing costs
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Liaise with customers, vendors, engineers, and other disciplines as required
- Participate in HAZOP and LOPA reviews, as well as technical, constructability, and quality reviews
- Assist in the design, review, and approval of instrumentation-related engineering deliverables, including:
- Instrument indexes and installation details
- Location drawings, datasheets, and wiring drawings
- Loop drawings and P&IDs
- Material requisitions and bill of materials
- Control valve and flow element calculations
- Pressure safety valve calculations
- Evaluation of alternatives and instrument selection
- Document control logs and instrument change approvals
- Support project Acceptance Testing (AT), including reviewing procedures, assigning resources, attending AT sessions, and adjusting commissioning scope based on AT results
- Develop, track, and adjust commissioning execution schedules
Skills and Qualifications
- Master's degree (MS) or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering specialty, or equivalent professional experience
- Previous experience in a closely related position and/or supervisory experience in a related field
- Extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
- Ability to review, evaluate, and update cause and effect diagrams, P&IDs, logic, and architecture
