Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the school's curriculum and learning objectives
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including pupils with varying abilities and learning styles
• Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to make learning stimulating and interactive
• Integrate literacy, numeracy, and 21st-century skills (critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, communication) into daily lessons
• Monitor, assess, and record pupils' progress through observations, classwork, and formal assessments
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to pupils and parents to support continuous improvement

Classroom Management

• Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and safe classroom environment
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies that promote self-discipline and responsibility
• Encourage teamwork, empathy, and respect among pupils

Curriculum and Assessment

• Participate in the development and review of schemes of work and instructional materials
• Align classroom teaching with curriculum objectives, school goals, and educational standards
• Prepare pupils for internal and external assessments as required
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance

Communication and Collaboration

• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues regarding pupil progress and school events
• Participate actively in staff meetings, workshops, and professional learning communities
• Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and school leadership to enhance instructional practices

Pastoral Care and Child Development

• Support pupils' emotional, social, and moral development in line with the school's values
• Identify and address learning or behavioural challenges early through appropriate interventions
