About the Role

Wells Carlton Hotel & Apartments is seeking an experienced Electrician with hospitality industry experience to join our maintenance team. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical infrastructure throughout our facilities. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all precautionary measures due to the inherent risks involved in electrical work.

Job Overview

Our goal is to establish and maintain reliable electrical connections across all facilities, reducing the likelihood of accidents and optimizing electricity usage throughout the property.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute electrical wiring plans for lighting, intercom systems, and other electrical infrastructure
• Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment for alarm and security systems
• Install safety and distribution components including switches, resistors, and circuit-breaker panels
• Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks, ensuring component compatibility
• Prepare and assemble conduits and route wiring through them
• Conduct routine inspections and replace old wiring and insulated cables to prevent system breakdowns
• Clean circuits and perform preventative maintenance
• Perform troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions
• Repair or replace damaged electrical units

Requirements and Skills

• Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician
• 2–5 years of proven experience as an electrician
• Valid license to practice the profession
• Experience with industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
• Demonstrated ability to use electrical tools and equipment
• Extensive knowledge of various electrical devices and systems
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and precautionary measures
