Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified Electrician whose job entails installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in various settings, troubleshooting issues using blueprints and testing devices, and ensuring compliance with safety codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install wiring and fixtures in various settings
• Identify and diagnose electrical problems, such as short circuits or power outages, and implement corrective actions to restore functionality
• Test electrical systems and components for functionality, safety, and compliance with regulations using testing devices and equipment
• Repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as switches, outlets, circuit breakers, wiring, and other fixtures
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications to plan and execute electrical work accurately
• Inspect and diagnose problems with electrical components
• Ensure all work adheres to electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards to prevent accidents and hazards
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to keep electrical systems in good working order and prevent future problems
• Maintain electrical systems, wiring, control, and lighting systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• HND qualification
• 2 - 5 years practical working experience
• Strong practical skills for using hand tools and electronic instruments
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and schematics
