Electrical Engineering Technician III at Habrams Energy

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our team in a Level 3 Electrical Engineering Technician role.

Main Functions

Support field electrical maintenance work and electrical isolation (Lock Out Tag Out: LOTO) for lighting, air conditioning, and motor maintenance. This position typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Tasks and Responsibilities

In addition to Level 1 and 2 tasks and responsibilities, a Level 3 technician will:

• Provide guidance to lower-level staff with complex problems
• Assemble, test, and modify experimental and/or operational electrical machinery, electrical control equipment, electrical circuitry, and components according to engineering specifications in industrial or commercial plants and laboratories
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions or failures and perform preventive and corrective maintenance
• Record data and recommend modification or replacement of failed equipment

Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience in a closely related position
• Discipline-appropriate certification(s) if applicable, or equivalent professional experience
• Effective communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely describe field conditions and recommend remediation steps
• Team player; exhibits effective teamwork when working with persons over whom you may have no direct authority and willingness to assist others
• Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
