About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our engineering team in a key electrical engineering position.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the root cause of breakdowns and correct problems
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and needs for adjustment or repair while ensuring compliance with codes
• Install and maintain wiring and lightning systems in compliance with state and national electrical code standards
• Ensure fire safety alarm systems are functional and properly maintained
• Monitor work performed by outside contractors and ensure adherence to regulatory code requirements
• Maintain records and files, prepare reports, and order supplies and equipment
• Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services
• Report findings and recommendations to the plant engineer

Key Requirements

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and components
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems
• Understanding of state and national electrical code standards
• High commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
• Ability to prepare technical reports and cost estimates
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
