## Title: Electrical and Instrumentation Technician
About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to maintain and support critical electrical, instrumentation, and control systems in our food processing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures; troubleshoot electrical issues and implement solutions to ensure uninterrupted power supply to machinery and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical and instrumentation systems, including switches, motors, control panels, and sensors
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical faults (up to 415V) in industrial control panels, motor control centres (MCCs), variable speed drives (VSDs/VFDs), and power distribution systems
- Troubleshoot and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) in packaging lines
- Collaborate with Mechanical Technicians to address integrated electro-mechanical faults on packaging machines (fillers, cappers, labelers, cartoners)
- Calibrate, repair, and maintain various instrumentation devices such as sensors, meters, and controllers to ensure accurate measurement and control of process variables
- Execute planned calibration of all critical instruments according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure precision required for food safety and quality
- Maintain detailed, accurate logs of all calibrations, maintenance activities, repairs, and adjustments for audit and compliance purposes (ISO 22000 or HACCP documentation)
- Respond promptly to electrical and instrumentation emergencies, diagnose issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity
- Ensure the integrity and reliable communication of industrial networks (Profibus, Ethernet/IP) connecting the SCADA system to field devices
- Strictly adhere to all industry safety standards and protocols
