About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our editorial team. You will be responsible for managing the complete editorial process, from concept development through publication, ensuring all content meets our high writing standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Read, proof, and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and syntax in articles
• Verify facts, dates, and statistics using standard reference sources
• Read, evaluate, and edit article drafts and other materials submitted for publication
• Confer with authors regarding changes in content, style, and organization to suit our writing standards
• Develop story and content ideas, considering reader and audience appeal
• Prepare, rewrite, and edit copy to improve readability, or supervise others who perform this work
• Plan and manage the drafting of op-eds, articles, newsletters, and web copy with the team
• Manage the editorial process from concept development, drafting, and review through copy editing and sign-off
• Work with analysts to develop consistent tone and style across all articles, newsletters, and content
• Provide story guides and suggestions to analysts and freelancers

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience as a media editor
• Excellent writing skills in English, particularly for press communication, financial terms, and news content
• Knowledge of financial terms and demonstrated interest in expanding this knowledge
• Expert-level proficiency as a proofreader
• Experience working across digital platforms (websites, mobile, blogs, etc.)
• Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail when processing large amounts of information or copy
• Strong ability to collaborate with writers to understand their needs and maximize impact
• Demonstrated ability to distill complex topics into language understandable to broader audiences
• Experience pitching ideas to different audiences with compelling writing for professional or lay audiences from diverse backgrounds
• Ability to work on tight deadlines
