Role Summary
The Domestic Cleaner is responsible for ensuring a clean, hygienic, and well-organized home environment. This role includes general housekeeping, surface cleaning, sanitation, and laundry services (washing, drying, ironing, and folding).
The ideal candidate should have prior experience in domestic cleaning, laundry handling, and household organization. They must be detail-oriented, trustworthy, and capable of working independently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and care.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning and Sanitation
- Perform daily cleaning of living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common spaces
- Dust furniture, polish surfaces, and clean windows, doors, and fixtures
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness and hygiene
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, switches, and countertops
- Maintain proper use and storage of cleaning supplies and equipment
Laundry and Garment Care
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry, ensuring proper handling of fabrics
- Iron clothes and linens neatly and store them in designated spaces
- Handle delicate clothing and special fabrics according to care instructions
- Organize wardrobes, linen closets, and storage spaces
Household Organization
- Maintain a neat and orderly home environment
- Assist with changing bed linens, towels, and curtains as needed
- Keep cleaning schedules and ensure timely completion of household tasks
Inventory and Supplies Management
- Monitor household cleaning products and laundry supplies
- Notify employer of low stock and assist with procurement when required
Household Relations
- Follow household rules, routines, and preferences
- Respect confidentiality and privacy within the household
- Communicate any household issues (repairs, damages, or concerns) promptly
