Job Summary
May Publishing Ltd is recruiting a Domestic Assistant to combine light domestic duties with office support responsibilities. This role ensures smooth day-to-day operations at both the workplace and residence when required.
The ideal candidate should be trustworthy, well-organized, and proactive. You should be able to manage multiple tasks efficiently with minimal supervision. A polite, discreet, and service-oriented attitude is essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness, order, and organization within the office environment and designated domestic areas
- Assist with routine office tasks such as filing, photocopying, correspondence, and running errands
- Support with light domestic duties including laundry, shopping, and household organization
- Ensure work and home environments are neat, presentable, and conducive to productivity
- Handle personal and official errands with care, confidentiality, and promptness
- Assist in serving guests and setting up meeting areas when required
- Support simple clerical tasks including data entry, email correspondence, and use of Microsoft Word or Excel
- Manage office supplies and ensure items are restocked and accounted for
- Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and professionalism in all assigned duties
Requirements
- Minimum S.S.C.E qualification
- Good communication skills — spoken and written
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and internet use)
- Honesty, dependability, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Neat appearance and good personal hygiene
- Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision
- Respectful, polite, and willing to learn
- Residence close to the job location in Lagos (strong advantage)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a domestic assistant
- Familiarity with supporting executives or households in a professional setting
