## Title: Director of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)

About the Role

The Director of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) is responsible for establishing, implementing, and continuously improving the company's HSE management system. This role ensures compliance with local regulations and company standards, prevents safety and environmental incidents, and promotes a strong safety culture across all departments within the production base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, implement, and continuously improve the base's HSE management system, including HSE policies, procedures, operating standards, and emergency response plans. Ensure effective implementation, supervision, and compliance.
  • Lead safety management activities, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and the development of risk control measures. Supervise the rectification of potential safety hazards and prevent accidents such as fire, explosion, and mechanical injuries.
  • Oversee environmental management activities, including monitoring wastewater, waste gas, and solid waste discharges to ensure compliance with local environmental standards. Organize environmental treatment, remediation, and pollution prevention measures.
  • Manage employee health programs, including organizing occupational health examinations, conducting occupational health education and training, preventing occupational diseases, and safeguarding employees' physical and mental well-being.
  • Organize and deliver HSE training and awareness programs to enhance employees' HSE knowledge, operational skills, and compliance with relevant rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Supervise, inspect, and audit HSE implementation across all departments. Investigate, report, and handle HSE incidents, near-misses, and non-compliance cases, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Required Qualifications

  • African nationality
  • Age 35–50 years
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health, or related fields
  • HSE-related professional certifications
