Director of Finance & Resource Development at Henosis International

Role Overview

The Director of Finance & Resource Development serves as the financial strategist and sustainability architect of Henosis International. This role ensures that the organization remains fiscally strong, well-resourced, and positioned for long-term growth. You will oversee all financial operations, lead fundraising and partnership development, manage donor relations, and ensure responsible stewardship of all resources.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Oversight

• Lead the development and management of annual budgets and financial plans
• Monitor financial performance, ensuring compliance, accountability, and transparency
• Oversee bookkeeping, financial reporting, audits, and internal control systems
• Present accurate financial statements to the Executive Board and leadership
• Establish systems that ensure proper stewardship of funds and responsible expenditure

Resource Mobilization & Fundraising

• Design and execute fundraising strategies (grants, corporate sponsorships, donor campaigns, etc.)
• Identify and engage potential donors, partners, and supporters
• Maintain strong donor relationships through consistent communication and impact reporting
• Develop proposals, sponsorship packages, and pitch decks for resource development

Partnership & Revenue Growth

• Build strategic partnerships with foundations, NGOs, private sector organizations, and philanthropists
• Explore alternative revenue streams to strengthen financial sustainability
• Lead negotiations and agreements with financial, impact, and development partners

Organizational Support

• Advise leadership on financial strategy and long-term sustainability planning
• Work closely with program directors to ensure funding is aligned with program goals
• Provide financial training or guidance to volunteers and project leads when needed
