Database Administrator (DBA)

Position Overview: - Afripoint Group Limited is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, secure, and optimize company databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity across business-critical systems. Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, manage, and monitor databases - Perform regular database backups, recovery, and replication - Ensure database security, integrity, and availability - Optimize performance and resolve database-related issues - Support development and operations teams with database needs Requirements: - Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as a Database Administrator - Strong knowledge of SQL and database platforms (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle) - Experience with database performance tuning and troubleshooting - Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments - Strong analytical and documentation skills Certifications (Added Advantage): - Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) - Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator - AWS Certified Database – Specialty - Any relevant database or cloud certification
