## Title: Curriculum Development Specialist

About the Role

The Curriculum Development Specialist will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and improving academic and professional curricula to ensure alignment with institutional goals, industry standards, and learner needs. This role involves working closely with faculty, subject matter experts, and programme managers to develop high-quality, outcome-driven learning programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, review, and update curricula for academic and professional programmes
  • Develop learning objectives, course outlines, lesson plans, and assessment frameworks
  • Ensure curricula align with regulatory, accreditation, and quality assurance standards
  • Collaborate with facilitators and subject matter experts to integrate best practices in teaching and learning
  • Incorporate innovative and learner-centred approaches, including blended and digital learning methods
  • Conduct needs assessments and curriculum evaluations to inform continuous improvement
  • Prepare curriculum documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders

Required Qualifications

Education

  • PhD Degree in Education, Curriculum Studies, Instructional Design, Social Sciences, or a related field

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or academic programme development
  • Experience working with higher education institutions, training organisations, or professional learning programmes is desirable

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Strong curriculum design and instructional design skills
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and documentation abilities
  • Good understanding of adult learning principles and competency-based approaches
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with accreditation or programme validation processes is an advantage
