Credit Underwriting Specialist at Autochek

Job Summary

We are seeking a productivity-oriented professional to collaborate with the executive management team and improve underwriting standards in alignment with local and international underwriting regulations. You will work within established underwriting policies, guidelines, rating manuals, and insurance regulations to drive strategic financial objectives.

Essential Job Functions

• Implement the underwriting framework to support long-term strategic financial objectives
• Evaluate the possibility of losses due to catastrophe or excessive insurance exposure
• Review and revamp the company's insurance policies to determine risk acceptability in accordance with company guidelines and standards
• Lead underwriting activities, including structuring, revisions, and closing of amendments, upsizes, and extensions, as well as annual reviews
• Provide sound underwriting philosophies and discipline across all company business lines with demonstrated operational effectiveness in claims management in accordance with company regulations and customer expectations
• Set appropriate pricing for all key products across all channels and risk classes to ensure the company meets its stated underwriting strategy and profit objectives
• Innovate product developments to meet consumer insurance needs and generate new business for the brand
