Job description

## Title: Third Party Monitoring Consultant – ENRICH Program

About Action Against Hunger

Action Against Hunger is an international humanitarian organization that has been leading the global fight against hunger and malnutrition among the most vulnerable populations in northern Nigeria since 2010. Through integrated and multi-sectoral program approaches, ACF delivers lifesaving assistance addressing water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), nutrition and health, food security and livelihood, and social protection needs of internally displaced persons, refugees, migrants, and host communities.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to serve as a Consultant for Third Party Monitoring. This role is crucial given ongoing security challenges in the region, including attacks, abductions, killings, and illegal vehicle checkpoints established by Non-State Armed Groups (NSAGs) that hinder humanitarian response and access to certain Local Government Areas (LGAs) including Gubio, Kada, Magumeri, and Mobbar LGAs in Borno State.

Main Objective

The main objective of this third-party monitoring initiative is to ensure routine, robust, unbiased, and comprehensive monitoring of the ENRICH program activities, particularly in Gubio, Kaga, and Magumeri LGAs of Borno State. The program is implemented by BOWDI, YIPDI, SCI/EYN, and the Ministry of Health (MOH) in areas where security challenges and limited access hinder direct oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide routine monitoring of project implementations across partner organizations
  • Deliver real-time updates on project activities and progress
  • Ensure activities are implemented to the highest quality standards
  • Support the consortium in maintaining comprehensive oversight despite access constraints
