Job Summary
We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Construction Manager. A construction manager has a deep understanding of all facets of the building process, from initial planning and foundational work through to project completion.
The role requires coordinating, supervising, and overseeing multiple project elements simultaneously to keep projects on track, on time, and within budget. You will act as the intermediary between clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards
- Lead and coordinate construction teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and labourers
- Monitor construction sites to ensure safety protocols, quality control, and compliance with regulations
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
- Identify and mitigate potential risks, resolving issues promptly to minimize delays
- Ensure construction work meets quality standards, codes, and regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Construction Industry
- COREN Registration
- Master's Degree (added advantage)
- Certified Project Manager with background in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Building Technology, or Construction Management (added advantage)
