Responsibilities

• Stay abreast of the regulatory environment to obtain and decipher extant and evolving laws, regulations, and guidelines applicable to the business
• Manage organizational compliance by reviewing, interpreting, and communicating relevant regulations to enable the company and its employees to operate in compliance with regulatory obligations
• Provide corrective advisory for identified potential vulnerable areas of compliance risk and for the resolution of problematic issues, as well as general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future
• Develop and periodically review, update, and disseminate relevant policies, dashboards, and report templates to business owners to ensure conformity with current regulatory requirements
• Conduct regular compliance gap analyses to identify the compliance level of the organization and communicate findings to process owners for resolution
• Coordinate, supervise, review, and evaluate the activities of SDOs with respect to their assigned compliance obligations to assist them in remaining abreast of requirements and trends
• Ensure that compliance issues and concerns within the organization are appropriately managed
• Liaise with the Learning & Development Unit to develop and implement effective company-wide AML/CFT/CPF training programmes, including appropriate onboarding presentations for new employees
• Provide regular management reports to keep the Board and Senior Management informed of the operations, progress, achievements, and concerns of all compliance efforts
• Act as the principal point of contact between the company and regulatory agencies
• Respond to all government investigations, enquiries, and authorized requests
