Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, responsible, and experienced Delivery Rider to support our solar operations through efficient courier and logistics services. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of solar products, documents, and related items to customers and company locations. This role is critical to ensuring smooth logistics operations and excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick up and deliver solar products, documents, and packages safely and promptly
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet timelines and reduce fuel consumption
- Ensure all deliveries are properly documented and signed for
- Load and unload items carefully to prevent damage
- Make delivery confirmations where required
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including time, recipient details, and remarks
- Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries
- Conduct basic motorcycle maintenance checks (oil, fuel, tires, brakes)
- Keep the assigned motorcycle clean and in good working condition
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies
- Support the logistics and operations team when required
- Report any mechanical issues or incidents immediately
Requirements:
& Qualifications
- Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification
- Valid rider’s permit/license (mandatory)
- Proven experience as a dispatch or delivery rider (minimum 2 years)
- Strong knowledge of Lagos roads, routes, shortcuts, and traffic regulations
- Ability to use Google Maps / GPS navigation systems effectively
- Physically fit and able to handle long rides and moderate lifting
- Must be punctual, reliable, honest, and trustworthy
- Good communication and basic literacy skills (reading and writing)
- Good communication skills, especially for coordinating with sales and call center teams
- Strong customer service skills — polite, respectful, and professional
- Clean riding record with no reckless or dangerous driving history
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
