About the Role

A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent to join as a Collection Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing client accounts, recovering outstanding debts, and maintaining professional standards while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact clients via phone calls, emails, and text messages to discuss due and overdue payments
• Negotiate repayment plans, payment arrangements, and settlements with debtors to resolve outstanding balances
• Review loan agreements, payment histories, and relevant documents to assess account status and determine appropriate collection strategies
• Maintain accurate records of communications, payment agreements, and debt statuses in databases and software systems
• Provide assistance and guidance to clients, answering questions, addressing concerns, and offering options to help them meet their financial obligations
• Recover outstanding debts while maintaining professionalism and compliance with industry regulations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• NYSC (National Youth Service Corps) completion required
• Experience in Debt Collections, Customer Service, or Financial Services (highly recommended)

Essential Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple accounts, documentation, and deadlines simultaneously
• Proficiency with computer systems, including spreadsheet software and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms
