Job Summary

The Civil/Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and supervising the construction of structural components of buildings and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural elements including beams, slabs, columns, foundations, retaining walls, and related components
• Prepare structural drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical reports
• Perform load, stress, and stability assessments using relevant engineering codes
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical/electrical engineers, and project teams to achieve functional and aesthetic design objectives
• Review and approve construction materials to ensure compliance with design standards
• Conduct site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure designs are implemented accurately
• Identify structural issues, recommend modifications, and provide timely solutions
• Prepare bills of quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and support procurement processes where necessary
• Ensure compliance with local building regulations, safety standards, and project timelines
• Participate in project planning, quality control, risk assessment, and progress reporting
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders professionally and efficiently

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field (Master's an added advantage)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in structural design or construction engineering
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, or similar structural design software
• Strong understanding of engineering codes and standards (e.g., Eurocode, ACI, BS Standards)
• Knowledge of construction practices and project delivery methodologies
