About the Role

SmartCity PLC is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic leadership over the company's financial operations, capital structure, investor relations, and long-term fiscal planning.

The ideal candidate will drive financial strategy, strengthen governance frameworks, and lead initiatives that support growth, profitability, and risk management. You will collaborate with executive leadership to optimize financial performance across all business units, including real estate development, hospitality operations, and emerging ventures.

This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability, deep financial expertise, and proven success in fundraising, investor relations, and strategic financial leadership. You must be deeply connected within financial markets and capable of actively securing funding for large-scale real estate and lifestyle development projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute SmartCity PLC's long-term financial strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate vision and growth objectives
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, treasury operations, and cashflow management
• Lead capital-raising initiatives including equity, debt, and strategic investment partnerships to support major development projects
• Strengthen financial controls, compliance frameworks, audit processes, and internal governance systems
• Provide strategic insight and analytics to guide executive decision-making, project feasibility, and risk assessments
• Manage investor relations, regulatory reporting, and communications with key stakeholders
• Oversee finance teams across accounting, project finance, procurement controls, and corporate reporting
• Partner with development, operations, and legal teams to ensure project profitability, cost optimization, and financial sustainability
