About the Role
We are looking for a hardworking and compassionate professional who is committed to delivering quality laboratory services and immunization support across Primary Health Care Facilities (PHCs) in the FCT. The ideal candidate is passionate about children's health and genuinely cares about patient well-being.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory investigations, including hematology, microbiology, biochemistry, and other diagnostic tests within Primary Health Care Facilities
- Support mobile immunization efforts by participating in house-to-house outreach and administering vaccines in alignment with national health campaigns
- Collect, label, and process biological specimens accurately, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to laboratory protocols
- Monitor and maintain cold chain systems to preserve vaccine potency during transportation and field operations
- Collaborate with PHC personnel, local health authorities, and community stakeholders to enhance immunization coverage and laboratory service delivery
- Engage in public health education and community mobilization activities to promote vaccine awareness and uptake
- Uphold strict Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) standards to ensure safety and minimize risk of contamination or disease transmission
Required Qualifications
- Valid Laboratory Scientist certification
