Business Unit Lead- Sales and Operations at Koolboks

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic, street-smart Business Unit Lead to drive adoption of our Pay-As-You-Go (PAYGO) refrigeration and solar solutions across key regions in Lagos. You will be the mini-CEO of your territory — responsible for generating demand, managing field teams, and ensuring portfolio health.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Generation

• Activate markets (especially open markets and high-footfall zones) through direct engagement and tailored activations
• Build relationships with small business owners including market women, frozen food sellers, salons, and bars
• Organize market storms, product demonstrations, POS marketing, and referral drives

Team Leadership & Sales Management

• Hire, train, and manage a team of field agents and sales representatives
• Track performance using sales dashboards and reporting tools
• Ensure every agent delivers weekly and monthly KPIs

Customer Acquisition & Conversion

• Identify and onboard qualified customers for our Koolbuy product range
• Monitor conversion funnel: lead → demo → sign-up → first payment
• Set up lead capture and follow-up workflows with the telesales team

Collections & Portfolio Health

• Ensure timely customer repayments through strong follow-up systems
• Reduce default rates by embedding early education and support systems
• Collaborate with customer service and credit teams to resolve issues quickly

Brand Representation

• Serve as the face of Koolbuy in your city, hosting activations, community events, and partner forums
• Provide feedback to headquarters on market trends, pricing sensitivities, and competitor movements

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in field sales, agent management, or fintech platforms
• Strong knowledge of market dynamics and consumer behavior
• Proven experience in below-the-line (BTL) activation and agent network growth
• Experience with collections and portfolio management
