Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join Jaypecstar Academy as a Business Studies and Accounting Teacher.

Lugbe, Abuja (FCT), Nigeria

Instructional Duties

• Teach accounting concepts including bookkeeping, financial statements, budgeting, taxation, and auditing
• Develop lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and student learning objectives
• Deliver engaging lectures and tutorials using real-world examples to make abstract concepts relatable
• Utilize teaching aids and technology such as spreadsheets, accounting software, and interactive tools to enhance learning

Assessment and Evaluation

• Design and administer tests, quizzes, and assignments to evaluate student understanding
• Provide timely feedback on student performance and offer remedial support where needed
• Maintain accurate records of student grades, attendance, and progress

Curriculum and Professional Development

• Update course materials to reflect current accounting standards and practices
• Stay informed about changes in financial regulations, accounting software, and teaching methodologies
• Participate in workshops and training to improve teaching skills and subject knowledge

Student Engagement and Support

• Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving through case studies and group projects
• Support students' career development by discussing professional paths in accounting and finance
• Promote ethical behavior and integrity in financial reporting and decision-making
