## Title: Business Development Officer/Sales Manager
Position Overview
Somkolch Nigeria Limited seeks a dedicated Business Development Officer 3 (BDO 3) / Sales Manager for a full-time, on-site role based in Elegushi and Isolo, Lagos, Nigeria. This position combines hands-on selling with leadership and team management responsibilities, requiring the successful candidate to drive high-value sales, expand strategic accounts, and lead a sales team to consistently achieve performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities to drive revenue growth
- Lead, coach, and motivate a sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets
- Set clear sales objectives, monitor KPIs, and track team performance against targets
- Conduct high-impact sales presentations and product demonstrations to key clients
- Develop and manage strategic client relationships to ensure long-term retention and repeat business
- Support team members in negotiations, deal structuring, and closing high-value accounts
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to refine sales strategies
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance reviews for management
- Ensure accurate documentation of sales activities, pipelines, and client interactions using CRM or tracking tools
- Uphold a results-driven culture with strong discipline, accountability, and professionalism
Required Qualifications
- 5–8 years of proven experience in sales or business development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong background in FMCG, automotive solutions, chemicals, or related industries
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
