Business Development Officer

About the Role

Join a leading organization as a Business Development Officer in Abuja. This role supports the CEO in growth management, strategy, and corporate planning by influencing policy development and implementing high-level strategy while providing analytical and operational support for the company's strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing presentations and analysis to support Senior Executives in making key business decisions
• Support investigation and analysis of acquisition candidates by gathering relevant data and assembling company profiles including customers, suppliers, and partners
• Conduct market trend analysis, demographic studies, and research using company-generated and externally published sources to gather required information
• Design targeted research initiatives by identifying data sources, collecting data from various channels, and analyzing data using quantitative techniques to derive strategic insights
• Support the company's strategic planning framework to ensure delivery through the annual business planning cycle with robust supporting plans and key work streams
• Ensure strategies, policies, and plans follow an evidence-based approach utilizing national and local intelligence and examining potential impacts of legislative and policy changes
• Conduct project-related activities in strategic planning, financial analysis, competitive analysis, operations analysis, capital investment planning, and special studies
• Maintain corporate planning databases, records, and competitor files
• Initiate and maintain contact with stakeholders to develop business opportunities
• Maintain contact with consultants and review agreements and proposals for the CEO
• Attend project progress meetings to monitor operational issues associated with projects
