## Title: Business Development Manager – Building & Construction

Job Purpose

The Business Development Manager will drive growth by identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and promoting engineering solutions in the building services sector.

This role bridges technical expertise with strategic sales and marketing to expand the company's footprint in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for planning and execution of mid and long-term channel strategy for the Building Services Engineering Unit within the assigned territory.

The Business Development Manager is expected to act as the CEO of the territory, taking entrepreneurial initiatives in delivering superior value to customers and for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in commercial, residential, and industrial building projects
  • Locate and propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners and accounts, discovering and exploring opportunities
  • Develop leads and opportunities from prospect engagement through order intake and sales
  • Ensure optimal coverage of assigned territory while driving sustainable and profitable business growth
  • Develop and maintain relationships with architects, contractors, consultants, and developers
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to tailor solutions that meet client needs
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategy
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals that align with company goals
  • Track project pipelines and maintain accurate CRM records
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums
  • Manage total sales results across all Lines of Business and Customer Services within the assigned territory
  • Maintain a healthy funnel of opportunities to be closed month on month
  • Own the forecast process including funnel maintenance of the channel in the assigned territory
