## Title: Business Development Manager – Pharmaceutical

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and intelligent Business Development Manager with strong initiative, creativity, and hunger for success. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and driving revenue growth for the company's pharmaceutical products both locally and internationally.

This individual must be results-oriented, strategic in thinking, and capable of building long-term relationships with distributors, healthcare professionals, regulatory agencies, and key stakeholders in the pharmaceutical ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve growth targets in the Nigerian pharmaceutical market
  • Identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution networks
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and emerging product opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with hospitals, pharmacies, government institutions, and medical representatives
  • Lead negotiations with partners, agents, and distributors to secure profitable agreements
  • Collaborate with the marketing and regulatory teams to support product registration, launches, and promotional campaigns
  • Prepare and present business proposals, market reports, and performance analyses to management
  • Monitor and evaluate business performance, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and sales forecasts
  • Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, and trade fairs
  • Continuously assess risks, challenges, and opportunities in the dynamic pharmaceutical landscape

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or postgraduate qualification is an added advantage)
  • Minimum 4–6 years of proven experience in pharmaceutical sales, marketing, or business development
