## Title: Business Development & Events Officer

Role Summary

We are seeking a Business Development & Events Officer to drive business growth through strategic event management, partnership development, and market expansion across West Africa. This role combines event planning and execution with business development initiatives to strengthen client relationships and generate new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute corporate and community events including user conferences, geo academies, networking events, and stakeholder engagements
  • Coordinate sponsorships, exhibitions, and brand activations
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with clients, institutions, partners, and international organizations in the Geospatial Industry
  • Lead market expansion initiatives within Ghana and across West Africa
  • Develop and implement strategic partnerships and collaborations to expand market reach (e.g., marketing agencies, schools, research institutes)
  • Follow up with leads generated from events and campaigns to ensure opportunity conversion
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and seminars to promote brands and generate business leads
  • Develop and execute brand visibility campaigns across digital, print, website, and event platforms
  • Oversee the creation of marketing content, social media strategies, and promotional materials
  • Implement CSR programs and educational outreach initiatives across West Africa
  • Report on CSR outcomes and program impact
  • Coordinate closely with sales, technical, and operations teams to align business development efforts with company goals

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Geo Sciences or related field
  • 3 years' experience in a similar business development or events management role
  • Knowledge of business processes and practices
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop client relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Proficiency with IT tools and spreadsheet applications
  • Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or related business field
