## Title: Branch Training and Resource Mobilization Officer

About the Role

The Nigerian Red Cross Society is seeking a Branch Training and Resource Mobilization Officer to support training delivery and resource mobilization initiatives at the branch level in Lagos, Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

Resource Mobilization

  • Provide timely advice and information on funding opportunities, requirements, and procedures
  • Collaborate in defining and implementing project funding strategies
  • Work with the Branch Secretary to ensure excellence in resource mobilization remains a top priority for the NRCS Branch
  • Document monthly achievements, success rates, and challenges in mobilization efforts
  • Submit reports to Headquarters and Branch Governance
  • Establish and maintain regular contact with donors and resource mobilization networks in the respective State
  • Identify partnerships with institutions, government departments, and donors in support of NRCS Branch activities

Training Delivery

  • Demonstrate familiarity with Nigerian Red Cross first aid training courses
  • Ensure training and relevant resources are set up and delivered to professional standards, meeting all first aid requirements
  • Display thorough knowledge and application of NRCS rescue skills and ability to teach said skills
  • Build effective relationships with clients to ensure successful training outcomes
  • Implement appropriate first aid training delivery and assessment strategies to meet participant needs
  • Prepare and submit reports for every training conducted
  • Perform equipment maintenance after training classes (such as cleaning mannequins and equipment)
  • With support from the Health & Care Officer, ensure health and safety of participants, including maintaining hazard-free training and practice areas and verifying equipment safety

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree in Public Health or other relevant qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a First Aid Trainer
  • Relevant First Aid certificates (preferable)

  • Strong judgment and ability to identify and analyze problems
