Banking Operations Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in overseeing the day-to-day activities of operations teams, including loan processing, underwriting, closing and servicing. - Analyze and recommend improvements to mortgage banking processes, including loan boarding, payment processing, and document management, implementing changes to enhance productivity and quality. - Identify and assess operational risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as FMBN, BOFIA and internal policies. - Supervise and develop a team of mortgage operations professionals, providing guidance and coaching on mortgage lending and servicing regulations, policies, and procedures - Support mortgage servicing operations, including payment processing, escrow management, and default management - Develop and maintain process documentation, ensuring accuracy andconsistency, and providing training and support to mortgage operationsstaff. Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Masters degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, ACA, or CIBN) is an added advantage. - 5 - 7 years of proven experience in operations management, risk management and compliance, with a focus on mortgage banking or related financial services. - Strong understanding of mortgage loan products, processes and regulations governing the mortgage banking industry. - Proficiency in mortgage banking software, Microsoft Office and other related systems.
