About the Role

An established company is recruiting a Backend Developer to join their team in Lagos, Nigeria.

Responsibilities

• Write programs in a variety of computer languages, such as C# and Python
• Update, review, and expand existing programs
• Debug programs by testing for and fixing errors
• Build and use computer-assisted software engineering (CASE) tools to automate code writing
• Make use of reusable code libraries
• Collaborate with other developers to develop features
• Pay attention to details and ensure that all assigned tasks are carried out to standard
• Prepare reports, manuals, and other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of software
• Develop and unit test applications in accordance with established standards
• Participate in peer reviews of analysis, solution designs, and related code
• Work with teammates in the migration of older applications to current technologies
• Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

• Relevant qualifications and experience
• Knowledge of web-based and programming languages
• Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Knowledge of backend programming languages (.NET, C#)
