Job description
## Title: Automobile Technician Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily activities of the automobile unit, including drivers and mechanics
- Plan and oversee deployment and scheduling of factory vehicles
- Ensure all assigned vehicles are operational, serviced, and ready for use
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for vehicles
- Maintain up-to-date service and maintenance records
- Liaise with mechanics and vendors for spare parts procurement and repair support
- Manage driver schedules, performance, and adherence to transport policies
- Ensure compliance with all safety and traffic regulations
- Allocate manpower and vehicle resources efficiently to meet operational needs
- Maintain detailed records of servicing, repairs, and fuel consumption
- Prepare and submit regular reports to the HOD-Engineering
- Track automobile expenditures and implement cost-saving measures
- Enforce HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards in all automobile operations
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with vehicle usage procedures
Required Education
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or related field
Required Experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in automobile maintenance, fleet management, or supervision (preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting)
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and workshop operations
- Ability to plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules
- Proficiency in record keeping, cost tracking, and logistics coordination
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to manage teams effectively and work under pressure
