Automobile Technician at Solar Nigachem Limited

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the automobile unit, including drivers and mechanics
• Plan and oversee deployment and scheduling of factory vehicles
• Ensure all assigned vehicles are operational, serviced, and ready for use
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for vehicles
• Maintain up-to-date service and maintenance records
• Liaise with mechanics and vendors for spare parts procurement and repair support
• Manage driver schedules, performance, and adherence to transport policies
• Ensure compliance with all safety and traffic regulations
• Allocate manpower and vehicle resources efficiently to meet operational needs
• Maintain detailed records of servicing, repairs, and fuel consumption
• Prepare and submit regular reports to the HOD-Engineering
• Track automobile expenditures and implement cost-saving measures
• Enforce HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards in all automobile operations
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with vehicle usage procedures

Required Education

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or related field

Required Experience

• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in automobile maintenance, fleet management, or supervision (preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting)

• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and workshop operations
• Ability to plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules
