Automobile Supervisor at African Natural Resources & Mines Limited(ANRML)

About the Role

African Natural Resources & Mines Limited (ANRML) seeks a dedicated Automobile Supervisor to oversee maintenance and repair activities for Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) and light vehicles at our CSD Plant. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical knowledge, experience in troubleshooting, and the ability to lead a small team of mechanics to ensure smooth and safe operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide mechanics and technicians for repair and maintenance of HEMM and light vehicles
• Plan and monitor preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules
• Diagnose and resolve issues in hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems of HEMM (e.g., dumpers, excavators, dozers, loaders)
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and proper use of tools and equipment
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for timely supply
• Support operational efficiency and minimize equipment downtime

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering
• 2–5 years of experience in maintenance of HEMM or automotive equipment, with exposure to team supervision
• Strong troubleshooting and maintenance planning ability
• Good leadership and coordination skills
• Knowledge of engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical systems
• Basic computer proficiency for maintenance reporting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
