An established company is recruiting for the following position. Location: Wawa, Ogun Overview: - An experienced person who would be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining company's Trucks / Vehicle to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability. - The role involves handling mechanical and electrical faults in line with manufacturer and company standards. Key Responsibilities - Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults - Diagnose problems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals - Perform routine vehicle servicing and preventive maintenance - Repair or replace defective parts such as engines, brakes, suspension, and transmission systems - Carry out wheel alignment, balancing, and brake servicing - Ensure vehicles meet safety and roadworthiness standards - Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure issues are resolved - Maintain accurate service and repair records - Follow safety procedures and workshop best practices - Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and well maintained - Provide technical advice and recommendations to supervisors or customers Qualifications & Requirements - Minimum of OND, Trade Test Certificate, or equivalent in Automobile Engineering or a related field - Proven experience as an Auto Technician or Mechanic - Strong knowledge of vehicle systems (petrol and diesel engines) - Ability to use diagnostic equipment and hand tools - Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills - Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision - Physical stamina and attention to detail Skills & Competencies: - Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting - Time management and multitasking - Teamwork and communication skills - Customer service orientation - Compliance with safety standards Check how your CV aligns with this job
