Audit & Tax Officer

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position. Position Overview: - The Audit & Tax Officer will support audit and tax engagements by performing audit fieldwork, preparing tax computations, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. The role requires strong analytical skills and hands-on experience in audit and tax processes. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in planning and executing audit assignments - Perform audit testing and prepare working papers - Prepare financial statements and audit reports - Compute and prepare tax returns including CIT, VAT, WHT, and PAYE - Assist with tax audits, investigations, and reconciliations - Maintain proper documentation for audit and tax engagements - Support senior team members in client engagements - Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations Requirements: & Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - ICAN/ACCA qualification or progress toward certification is an advantage - Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience, with at least 1 year in an accounting or consulting firm - Good understanding of audit procedures and Nigerian tax laws - Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
