Audit and Compliance Manager

Key Responsibilities: Audit & Internal Control: - Develop and implement risk-based internal audit plans covering all project components. - Conduct routine, spot, and thematic audits at national and field levels. - Review financial, operational, and programmatic processes for compliance and efficiency. - Track audit findings and ensure timely implementation of corrective action plans. Donor & Regulatory Compliance: - Ensure adherence to EU donor regulations, and Nigerian statutory requirements. - Support internal, external, and donor audits and investigations. - Identify fraud risks, compliance gaps, and control weaknesses. Capacity Strengthening: - Train staff and partners on compliance standards, fraud prevention, and accountability frameworks. Technical Skills & Experience Required - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit, or related field with a minimum 7 years’ experience in audit, compliance, or risk management roles. - Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent) is mandatory. - In-depth knowledge of EU donor compliance frameworks, internal audit standards, and risk management. - Practical experience designing internal control and compliance systems. - Experience auditing multi-location and consortium projects. - Strong data analysis and reporting skills; high proficiency in Excel and audit tools.
