## Title: Associate Producer

About This Role

This position offers a great opportunity for career growth in a dynamic broadcast television environment. You will work as part of a collaborative team producing live television content, supporting all aspects of show production from pre-production through on-air delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report to the Executive Producer for daily job tasks and direction
  • Write scripts for the show that are informative, conversational, and engaging
  • Prepare and stack the show rundown for broadcast
  • Write and post daily content on social media outlets
  • Prepare guests for their live segments and manage guest relations
  • Work with show producers to write voice-overs, manage live shots, handle guest segments, and write compelling teases
  • Time the show to ensure each guest has adequate time to deliver their message effectively
  • Create production elements for scripts, including tape and graphics
  • Identify news stories, select video and sound bites, oversee editing, conduct interviews, and write stories for television and online platforms
  • Assist in booking visually engaging segments for the show
  • Contribute new creative ideas to enhance the show
  • Support line producing tasks as needed
  • Assist with on-location shoots and editing when required
  • Work remotely but remain available to come to the station at short notice when needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience producing live television
  • Proficiency in stacking rundowns for broadcast
  • Strong demonstrated social media skills with an active, professional presence on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter

Work Schedule

Weekdays 6:30 AM–3:30 PM, with occasional extended hours as needed. Available for station weekend events and on-call availability for urgent station needs.
