## Title: Assistant Production Manager

About the Role

A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent to support production operations in a furniture manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Production Manager in planning, organizing, and overseeing daily production operations
  • Supervise factory floor staff (carpenters, upholsterers, finishers, machine operators) to ensure productivity and quality output
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of furniture orders
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and workplace standards within the workshop
  • Coordinate raw material usage and support inventory control to minimize waste and downtime
  • Conduct routine quality checks on finished and in-process furniture to ensure adherence to company standards
  • Assist in implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce production costs
  • Prepare basic production reports (daily output, downtime, material usage) for management review
  • Support maintenance planning for machines and tools to reduce breakdowns
  • Liaise with design, sales, and logistics teams to align production with order requirements

Requirements & Qualifications

  • OND / HND / B.Sc. in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Wood Technology, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment (furniture or woodwork industry is a strong advantage)
  • Practical knowledge of furniture production processes (carpentry, finishing, upholstery, assembly)
  • Strong people management and supervisory skills
