Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accountant/Commercial Officer to join our team and support our bakery operations. The ideal candidate must possess strong financial acumen, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to analyze the core functions of the business while providing actionable insights into cash flow, financial performance, and commercial duties. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day accounting transactions
• Prepare accurate budget forecasts
• Publish timely financial statements
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure timely and accurate bank transactions
• Prepare monthly payroll and generate payslips
• Compute taxes and handle tax returns/filings
• Maintain accurate balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Provide reports on financial health, performance, and liquidity
• Audit financial transactions and maintain proper documentation
• Uphold confidentiality of financial data and ensure regular data backups
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations
• Support the management of vendor and distributor relationships and processing of payments
• Handle general administrative tasks related to the finance, commercial, and marketing departments
• Handle all statutory filings and corporate compliance including NAFDAC, SON, and other regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Proven experience working as an Accountant in a bakery setting
• Strong understanding of accounting regulations and GAAP principles
• Honest, trustworthy, and highly dependable
