About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join British International School in Lagos, Nigeria as an Art Teacher.

Responsibilities

• Teach knowledge and skills in art, including drawing, painting, lettering, and art history
• Assist in the compilation of resource material for IGCSE and 'A' level examinations
• Plan and present art displays and exhibitions to showcase students' work within the school and to external audiences
• Demonstrate versatility with acrylic paints, including dry brushing, staining, layering, underpainting, and mono printing techniques
• Maintain accurate academic records of student progress
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their children's progress and development

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Art or Art Education
• Prior teaching experience
• IGCSE Certificate
• Experience teaching in an AISEN school
• TRCN Certificate (or commitment to obtain within 12 months of employment)
