Position Summary

We seek a dedicated Architect to lead our design and development team. You will drive the creation of innovative products from concept through prototype development to finished goods ready for manufacture. This role requires a collaborative leader who champions creative thinking, ensures customer needs are prioritized, and works closely with operations to design for efficient manufacturing.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead the design team in collaboration with development to deliver new designs from concept stage through prototype development to finished products
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice engineering vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to improve operational performance
• Capture and specify design requirements, development validation, and deliverables needed to meet or exceed customer specifications
• Lead the team in creating 3D CAD models for proposal, production, and development systems, products, and components
• Present design concepts, costs, changes, and budgetary information to senior leadership and customers with regular progress updates
• Liaise with all departments to fully understand design requirements
• Respond to Requests for Quotation (RFQs) from the Sales team
• Create initial feasibility studies and conceptualize new designs and design revisions
• Guide products from concept through prototype to rollout stage for all new offerings
• Suggest new and more efficient production methods for current products
• Monitor production for adherence to quality standards and report any deviations
• Manage relationships with external production vendors to ensure adherence to quality standards, timely delivery, and cost-effectiveness
• Report on achievement of targets and identify required actions

Required Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated experience working with relevant products
• Hands-on engineering experience and strong product knowledge
• Proficiency with CAD software
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships
