## Title: Accounts Officer
About the Role
We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Accounts Officer at NewGate Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate back office responsibilities in a responsible and reliable manner
- Effectively coordinate the Accounts Department to ensure seamless flow of operations and generate relevant, timely information for company decision-making
- Ensure adequate record keeping with an efficient filing system, maintain bookkeeping, and post transactions on a daily basis
- Maintain all relevant ledger accounts
- Perform banking liaison functions including daily banking of all instruments received
- Conduct daily reconciliation of all accounts
- Generate weekly and monthly bank reconciliation statements
- Ensure daily financial transactions are posted accurately
- Review procedural and document flow charts relating to unit operations to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes
- Liaise with the company's auditors regarding the company's annual audit
- Provide general accounting information for back office operations
- Complete other assignments as assigned by the CEO/Managing Director
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Management Science, Social Science, Accounting, Economics, or Finance
- Minimum 3 years of cognate accounting experience
- Professional qualification: ACA/ACCA is compulsory; other qualifications such as ACS, ACTI, or CFA are advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally) is advantageous
- Residence within proximity to Ikorodu is an advantage
