Job description
A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual for this role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Procurement of electricity tokens for 350+ telecom sites.
- Accurately track, record, and report all token-related expenses.
- Organize and verify token receipts and site photographs.
- Prepare and submit invoices with supporting documentation (receipts, photos,
- summaries) to the telecom company.
- Record daily financial transactions and ensure accuracy in ledgers and journals.
- Maintain accounts payable and receivable; perform bank and ledger reconciliations.
- Process payroll, staff claims, and statutory deductions.
- Monitor and report on cash flow and budgeting performance.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly filing and remittance of all applicable taxes,
- including:
- Value Added Tax (VAT)
- Withholding Tax (WHT)
- Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE)
Pension contributions
Industrial Training Fund (ITF), NSITF, and other statutory deductions
- Liaise with tax authorities and ensure full compliance with local tax laws.
- Maintain strong internal control systems and financial policies.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
Person Specification
- Bachelor’s Degree /HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years accounting experience, preferably in engineering or telecoms.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho) and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and statutory compliance.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
